Yield Barrier: Heterosis in West African Pearl Millet

Goal is to develop pearl millet top-cross hybrids with
superior productivity and grain yield stability for West
African production systems, to develop tools for breeding
photo period sensitive millet hybrids; to strengthen seed
sector development and marketing opportunities for pearl
millet from West Africa, and to build national research
capacity for breeding pearl millet hybrids. Research organizations
