In 2007 SFSA invested in two important new initiatives.

Supporting ecosystem restoration projects that sequester or conserve carbon in forest and agro-ecosystems while reducing poverty and improving rural livelihoods in developing countries.

Investing in entrepreneur-owned businesses in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania through the GroFin East Africa Fund.

New support this year for development of a project delivery guide for public sector researchers and proof of concept marker-assisted cereal breeding programmes in Nigeria and Ethiopia.
