1. Martin Taylor
Currently Chairman of Board of Syngenta AG, Martin Taylor brings wide experience from business, journalism and public policy. He will be an important guide for the future development and work of the Foundationat a time when sustainable agriculture is seen as an essential engine in economic growth in the developing world.
2. Andrew Bennett
Andrew Bennett is Executive Director of the
Syngenta Foundationand a member of the
Foundation Board. He is President of the
Tropical Agricultural Association of the UK,
and was formerly Director, Rural Livelihoods
and Environment for the British Department
for International Development.
3. Klaus M. Leisinger
Klaus M. Leisinger is a member of the
Foundation Board. He is President and CEO
of the Novartis Foundation for Sustainable
Development, and Professor of Development
Sociology at the University of Basel.
Secretary to the Foundation Board
is Damian Heller.
4. Pierre Landolt
Pierre Landolt is a member of the
Foundation Board and a member of
the Board of Directors of Syngenta AG.
He is President of the Sandoz Family
Foundationand studied law at the
University of Paris Assas.
5. Christian Bonte-Friedheim
Christian Bonte-Friedheim is a member
of the Foundation Board. He was Director
General of the International Service for
National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) in
The Hague, and former Deputy Director
General of the Food and Agricultural
Organization (FAO) in Rome.
